Whether paying for services from architects, lawyers, and accountants, or expenses like security and insurance, launching a cannabis business in Massachusetts is expensive and complex. As we collectively wait for the Commonwealth to launch a taxpayer-funded fund for EEAs and SEPs, ELEVATE Northeast is proud to have created and managed the first-ever $200,000 Social Equity Pitch Competition in 2022. Due to popular demand — and increased need — we are bringing the competition back in 2023!
But we need the business community’s support to make it happen in 2023.

Certified Massachusetts economic empowerment applicants and those who have completed or are currently enrolled in the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission’s Social Equity Program (SEP) are invited to enter to win a no-strings attached cash prize when the 2023 application period opens in Summer 2023.
Who can apply when applications open?
The ELEVATE Northeast 2023 Social Equity Fund Pitch Competition is limited to individuals currently enrolled in or who have completed the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission’s Social Equity Program, and certified Massachusetts Economic Empowerment Applicants. All current and past contractors, board members, executives, and employees of ELEVATE Northeast, and any relatives of current or past directors or cofounders of ELEVATE Northeast, and any winners from the 2022 event, are ineligible to apply, compete in, or win any prizes from the competition.
