Help us fund some economic empowerment and social equity businesses in Massachusetts!
Whether paying for services from architects, lawyers, and accountants, or expenses like security and insurance, launching a cannabis business in Massachusetts is expensive and complex. As we collectively wait for the Commonwealth to launch a taxpayer-funded fund for EEAs and SEPs, ELEVATE Northeast is proud to announce the launch of its first Social Equity Pitch Competition.
Certified Massachusetts economic empowerment applicants and those who have completed or are currently enrolled in the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commmission’s Social Equity Program (SEP) may enter to win one of four five-figure grants to help fund their operations. Upon the jury’s review of all complete applications, the top 10 finalists will be announced and invited to pitch their business in front of a live audience and jury at the live awards ceremony and networking event in Worcester, MA.
Deadline to Apply: October 14, 2022
Applicants must provide proof of participation in the Massachusetts Social Equity Program or proof of Economic Empowerment status, as well as a 90-second video about their business and intentions for utilizing the prize money.
